Send them Back!

Wings of Doves are branches of Operation Tarshish working in the former Soviet Union to help Jews return to their Biblical homeland, Israel. Wings of Doves or Krilya Golubey in Russian, gets its name from Isaiah 60:8 which asks, "Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests?" referring to the Jews making their way home by air travel.

Wings of Doves  in the former Soviet Union who are doing the vital work of finding the hidden Jews, assisting them with whatever they need to make Aliyah (immigration to Israel), and bringing them to the place where they are able to leave for Israel.

The Wings of Doves teams, consisting of 4 bases, three in Ukraine and 1 in Russia, are working with prospective Olim (immigrants to Israel) and assisting them with the difficult process of leaving their homes, jobs, and their old lives in the former Soviet Union. Wings of Doves prepares them for their journey to a new but unknown future in the Promised Land.

Wings of Doves, not to be confused with Wings of Eagles, is now also established in the USA, where it is raising support for Operation Tarshish and the other Wings of Doves teams. (See the Wings of Doves - USA paragraph below)

Wings of Doves in the former Soviet Union is involved in many diverse activities including helping Olim with their Aliyah documentation, paying for passports, photos, transportation (sometimes this means flying thousands of miles/kilometers), and always the unanticipated problems which come when leaving one country for another. (The price of passports has increased from $25 to $45 - with the average salary less than $200 per month.)

For example, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, the Israeli Consulate closed (temporarily), which meant our potential Olim needed to be flown to the Israeli Embassy in Moscow for their visas - or miss the start of their studies. Due to the urgency of the situation, and the importance of the Aliyah in general, Wings of Doves - Russia paid for these prospective Olim to be flown to Moscow in order to receive their visas on time. This is what the director of the Wings of Doves branch in Russia had to say -

Dear G,
I want to tell you about two girls who had to go to Moscow to get their visas. This was the situation. They are students and they entered the Kibbutz "Saval" and had to be there November 12 so they could start their
Wings of Doves staff education. But the [Israeli] consulate  is absent [closed] until November 18. Had they waited until November 18 they would have been late for the beginning of their studies. That's why they had to go to Moscow so urgently. They are leaving for Israel next Wednesday.
Pastor P.
The Israeli Embassies and Consulates are becoming stricter and requiring more documentation from prospective Olim. This often involves more trips to the Embassy/Consulate, and therefore increased expenses.

Although the cost of rescuing Jews is increasing, Operation Tarshish and Wings of Doves are keeping their rescue-offer unchanged. We are still asking only $300 to rescue a single Jew, and $500 to rescue a family. We will send you the name or names of the Olim you have helped once they reach Israel, so that you are able to pray for them.

Wings of Doves has their first "Fisher"

Through the prophet Jeremiah God said He would send "fishers" to "fish" (seek) the Jews and "catch" them (bring them to Israel). Wings of Doves now has their first fisher, a volunteer from the United States. He is assisting the Kiev team in a wonderful way - helping them cope with the increased numbers of Olim. Please pray for him, and for others to follow suite and join our Wings of Doves teams also.

Wings of Doves -USA

We are most grateful to our Operation Tarshish /Wings of Doves representative in the USA, for all his dedicated efforts for the Wings of Doves - USA ministry. Presently he is incorporating this organization, and will soon open a bank account in the US; thus enabling north Americans to donate directly into a Wings of Doves account and receive a tax-deduction for their gift. We will inform you as soon this becomes available.

Wings of Doves - Ukraine & Russia

In discussing the Wings of Doves work in the Ukraine with our Representatives, some important facts emerged. We discovered that due to the drop in the Aliyah figures from the former Soviet Union other Christian ministries are closing their bases - especially in Kiev. The cost of rescuing a Jew is increasing, and larger ministries with higher overheads are having to close some of their offices and bases.

THIS MEANS OUR KIEV BRANCH
IS EXPERIENCING AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER
OF OLIM SEEKING ASSISTANCE!

It also means the number of Olim needing transportation to the airport or harbour is increasing. However we have no vehicle for our Kiev branch to meet this need. The purchase of a van to transport Olim and their luggage, as well as for our teams to go "fishing" for the hidden Jews in the outlying villages around Kiev, is a necessity.

THIS IS AN URGENT PRAYER REQUEST.

Another request we have is for a laptop computer for our Wings of Doves director in Russia. This Pastor does much traveling, and is in need of a portable computer to keep in contact by email and send us the Wings of Doves reports and photos while away from the office.

Review of Urgent Needs:

1. A van for the Kiev office

2. A laptop computer for the WoD director in Russia

3. Financial assistance for our offices
in Russia and the Ukraine

4. Designated funds for passport
and other travel documents

5. Designated funds to rescue
individuals ($300)
families ($500)

CAN YOU HELP?
PLEASE PRAY

Send them Back!

But this is a people plundered and looted, all of them trapped in pits or hidden away in prisons. They have become plunder, with no one to rescue them; they have been made loot, with no one to say, "Send them back," said the prophet Isaiah about 2,700 years ago! (Isaiah 42:22)

Wings of Doves is an organization established to do this very thing - to "send them back!" This ministry is assisting Jews in Russia and the Ukraine obtain their passports, visas and other travel documents; transport to the Israeli Embassy or Consulates; supply them with accommodation and food if need be; and then transport to the airport where they will be flown to Israel - "like doves to their nests!" But without your assistance this will not be possible.

You can help "send them back!" For $300 you are able to assist one Jew in the long process of escaping the terrible conditions in the FSU. $500 will help a family. This gift will bring them to the point where they can be transported to Israel. (Other ministries are being obedient to their calling, by actually transporting the Jews, by plane or by ship.) Yes, with your gift you will actually be fulfilling prophecy, where Isaiah saw Gentiles (or Christians) assisting His people home. (Isaiah 49:22) Don't just read about prophecy - become a part of it today! Your gift or donation will become the "arms" and "shoulders" which Isaiah "saw" carrying His people home.

If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not He who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not He who guards your life know it? Will He not repay each person according to what he has done? (Proverbs 24:12)
