Operation Tarshis
h Statement of Faith
- The Bible, both Tenach (Old Testament) and Brit Hadasha
(New Testament), is the divinely inspired and infallible Word of God. (2
Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21)
- God is the One and Only True God, All-wise, All-powerful,
All-knowing, All-loving, Omni-present, Creator God.
- God is a Unity consisting of the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 9:6b, Matthew 28:19)
- The Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus) is God's Only Begotten Son
(Proverbs 30:4; Psalm 2:7), and is the only Mediator between God and man. (1
Timothy 2:5)
- God the Father revealed Himself through the Scriptures of
the Tenach, and has now revealed Himself through His Son, the Messiah
Yeshua. (Hebrews 1:2,3)
- Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah), in His first
coming as a man, fulfilled the Tenach by becoming "one sacrifice for sin,"
thereby replacing the sacrifices of the Old Covenant, and is now our only
means of obtaining Redemption. (Hebrews 9:12) He rose from the dead and now
sits at the right hand of the Father in glory (Psalm 110:1)
- All men have sinned (Romans 3:23)
- Justification (being accounted righteous before a Holy
God) comes only through repentance and faith in Yeshua (John 3:16; Luke
24:27)
- Salvation is by grace through faith as a gift of God.
(Ephesians 2:8)
- The Holy Spirit indwells all believers and He gives power
for service and gifts for the benefit of the Body of Messiah. (John 14:23;
Romans 8:9-11; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12)
- The Church, or Body of the Messiah, consists of all
believers born of the Spirit and justified by faith, both Jew and Gentile.
(Romans 10:12)
- The Jewish people will be restored to the Land of Israel
in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, and the restored Nation of Israel
will have a predominant role to play in God's final purposes with mankind.
(Ezekiel 39:28; Isaiah 2:1-4; Isaiah 11:11,12;)
- Yeshua will soon return as Lord and Messiah, King of
Israel and Saviour of the world. (Zechariah 14:4; Matthew 16:27; Acts 1:11)
